IBM Cloud provisions Veeam using a license key that must be renewed annually. The date of renewal does not correspond to the date on which your Veeam instance is deployed. Open a command prompt and change to the directory: C: Program Files Veeam Backup and Replication Backup. Veeam.Backup.Manager.exe -removelicense. All installed licences will be removed and the product will switch to Community Edition. Afterwards open the Veeam Backup & Replication Console. Open the license information and install the valid license key for Update 4 again. In my case, the unnecessary tabs (Agent for Windows and Agent for Linux) were removed.

Veeam Licensing Model
- The software operates in free mode when no license key is present, or when an expired license key is present. There is no limit on the number of hosts, sockets or virtual machines (VMs).
- The full editions require a valid (unexpired) license key, and are limited to the number of host CPU sockets specified in the license key for each hypervisor (VMware or Hyper-V).
